미국의 인터넷 신문 가 레오나르도 디카프리오 주연의 올 12월 개봉작 <레버넌트: 죽음에서 돌아온 자>에 대해 곰이 주연배우를 강간한다고 평해 화제다. 해당 기사를 작성한 기자는 “곰이 디카프리오를 넘어뜨리고 두 번이나 강간한다”고 수위 높게 비판했다.

마이클 푼케의 동명 소설을 바탕으로 제작된 이 영화는 미국 서부 야생에서 곰의 습격을 받은 사냥꾼이 부상당한 자신을 처참히 버린 일행에게 복수하는 내용을 담아낸다.

알레한드로 곤잘레스 이냐리투 감독이 메가폰을 잡았으며, 12월 25일 북미 개봉을 앞두고 있다.
