공포영화에서나 볼 수 있을듯한 하늘을 나는 뱀이 화제다.

실제로 새처럼 하늘을 나는 것은 아니고 높은 곳에서 떨어지며 활공하는 방식으로 이동할 수 있는 이 뱀 종은 동남아시아 등지에 서식하는 것으로 알려졌다.
Flying snake로 불리는 뱀들은 몸을 납작하게 만들어 공기저항을 늘리고, 몸을 나선형으로 비틀면서 방향을 조종하는 것으로 알려졌다.
