인도에서 굶주림을 이기지 못한 야생 코끼리가 17명의 사람을 잡아먹은 일이 다시금 화제가 되고 있다.
미국 방송 애니멀 플래닛의 다큐멘터리에 따르면 한 야생 코끼리가 인도 마을에 출몰해 논밭을 망치는 바람에 사냥용 총으로 사살했다.

이 방송은 코끼리를 부검한 결과, 위에서 아직 소화되지 않은 17명의 사람 DNA가 검출되어 충격을 주었다고 전했다.
